Timpanogos Technologies is an employee owned company where valued people use and grow their skills, knowledge, professionalism and talents helping customers and enjoying what they are doing -- promoting school districts and the public sector to work together with continuously improved, supported, open source technology. Our initial core business supports school districts using IBM iSeries™ with CIMS® applications. We work with Education Technology Labs™, a non-profit research and development corporation, to assure that the continuously improved, supported, open source technology created will always be available to members. Cooperation brings a better long term solution, with a structure for continuous improvement. The resulting programs are supported at commercial strength, but provided as open source through the non-profit entity Education Technology Labs at no license fee. Both administrative software and district prepared curriculum can be shared through the same structure. Districts help one another, and the commercial strength software implemented is not at risk of being bought and shelved by a competing company as has so often been the case. Company Background In the early 2000's we became aware of high interest nationally by many districts using CIMS® to have expanded web access to their data with comprehensive functionality to be made available on new hardware technology and with web compatible equipment. In response to these requirements and needs, Timpanogos Technologies has created expanded and improved web and data access for these school districts on the IBM iSeries™ and the newly announced IBM eServer i5, one of the most stable, secure and technologically advanced equipment platforms ever offered. To support our current national customer base we have 29 employees headquartered in Utah and five other states. We have business partnerships with 16 various companies in 9 different states. IBM is a key partner and offers our support and development services in all 50 states. We have extensive software experience in the public sector. In the 1990's, Keith S. Blake, the president of Timpanogos Technologies, worked as a partner and co-founder in developing and creating enterprise software for metropolitan city and county local governments, including Kansas City, Atlanta, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego County, and Los Angeles County.
